Why is my converted PNG larger than the original JPG?

PNG is a lossless format that preserves all pixel data, so files are typically larger than lossy formats like JPG or WebP. Consider using WebP for smaller files with similar quality.

Is AVIF supported everywhere?

AVIF is supported in Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari 16.4+. For maximum compatibility, use WebP or JPG as a fallback.

Can I convert transparent images?

PNG, WebP and AVIF support transparency. Converting a transparent PNG to JPEG will fill the transparent area with white, since JPEG does not support transparency.
