LinkedIn image sizes — banners, posts and profile photos
Every LinkedIn image dimension you need in 2026: personal banners, company pages, posts, articles and profile photos.
LinkedIn updates its layout regularly, but the core image dimensions have stayed consistent. Here's every size you need for a polished LinkedIn presence in 2026.
Personal profile
| Element | Dimensions | Notes | | ----------------- | ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | | Profile photo | 400 × 400 | Displayed as a circle; keep content centred | | Background banner | 1584 × 396 | 4:1 ratio; top/bottom edges may be cropped on mobile |
Your profile photo is the most-seen image on LinkedIn. Use a high-contrast headshot on a clean background. The circular crop means corners are hidden — don't put text or logos near the edges.
Company page
| Element | Dimensions | Notes | | ------------ | ---------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | Company logo | 300 × 300 | Square; used in search results and recommendations | | Cover image | 1128 × 191 | Wide banner; keep text in the centre 60% for mobile safety |
The cover image is significantly wider than a personal banner. On mobile, the left and right edges are cropped, so avoid placing important content there.
Feed posts
| Type | Dimensions | Aspect ratio | | ------------ | ----------- | ------------ | | Single image | 1200 × 627 | 1.91:1 | | Square image | 1080 × 1080 | 1:1 | | Portrait | 1080 × 1350 | 4:5 | | Link preview | 1200 × 627 | 1.91:1 |
Best choice for engagement: Square (1080 × 1080) or portrait (1080 × 1350) images take up more screen real estate in the feed, which generally improves engagement metrics.
Article cover images
| Type | Dimensions | | ----------------- | ---------- | | Article thumbnail | 1200 × 644 |
LinkedIn Articles use a separate image format for the hero/cover. The thumbnail appears in the feed and at the top of the article itself.
Event images
| Type | Dimensions | | ----------- | ---------- | | Event cover | 1600 × 900 |
